When the pandemic hit the country, everyone had gone crazy with several major issues: HEALTH, JOB SECURITY, BILLS, EDUCATION, BUSINESS, and the ECONOMY. A skeletal workforce was implemented following strict health standard procedures to guarantee the safety of staff and clients. The WFH (work-from-home) set-up was also followed and strict collaboration of tasks from office and home setting made running the business quite manageable. To survive, multi-tasking was inevitable, with each employee doing 2 functions at the same time. “To stay online and connected with the business, the WFH (work-from-home) set-up was made to collaborate tasks, learn and respond to clients more dynamically and efficiently,” says Ancheta.

Write it down

Every task and commitment should be written down, don’t just remember everything and start putting things into a trusted system.

If you’re feeling fancy, you can use an app to sync every task (like Evernote, Apple Notes, or even Microsoft Outlook). But you can always start with a simple pen and paper.

Finish that most dreaded task

Every one of us has this task on our to-do list that we don’t want to accomplish. Maybe it’s too hard or you just don’t feel like it. But the real key is to DO THE HARD TASKS FIRST…then rest will simply be a breeze… –say this instead!

Don’t let yourself be distracted

With everything so accessible and technology so advanced, distractions such as emails and phone calls will be the top productivity killers. While they are created to make our lives easier, they can also be the crutch that will make us preoccupied with unnecessary things.

You need to take control of your devices. When you have something important to do, put your smartphone on “do not disturb” mode. You can also silence your alerts on your laptop and keep your office door closed for an hour.

No matter how loaded you are with your tasks, after a certain amount of time, fatigue will slowly creep up and it will start making you ineffective. Taking a break, even during the busiest of days, will surely help a lot.

A simple five-minute break, with some stretching and walking around the room will help you both mentally and physically. Resetting your mindset, leading you to productivity. Another tip, STAND UP for 2 -3 minutes, every 40minutes that you are in front of your computer. This protects your spine and neck from pain later on.

Learn to Delegate Tasks

A lot of people hate to ask for help. We think that it will cause us more trouble to explain something than just doing the task by ourselves immediately. But you have to keep in mind that not everything must be done by you alone.

Evaluate your to-do list that we mentioned earlier, carefully. What tasks could someone else do? How can we focus on the more important tasks? Do only the things you can at a certain period and allow somebody else to contribute to your business.

Life is short. You can only accomplish business goals if you have the right mindset and sound body. Staying present is the key to being productive.
